Vice Dean of the College for Academic Affairs
The responsibilities of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs constitute one of the key pillars of the College of Arts. This office serves as the main entity responsible for overseeing conferences, seminars, workshops, and scientific activities within the college. In addition, it supervises the affairs of undergraduate and graduate students, ensuring their discipline throughout their academic studies and after graduation.
Among the tasks of the Office of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs are responding to incoming official correspondence, monitoring student attendance and absences, ensuring adherence to the uniform policy, reviewing student disciplinary committee reports, coordinating the preparation of exam schedules with academic departments, and ensuring the implementation of regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to the directives of the Presidency of the University of Tikrit.
Duties and Authorities of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs:

Organizing final exam schedules in coordination with the college’s academic departments.

Organizing weekly class schedules in coordination with the academic departments, taking into account classroom availability to ensure smooth operation of postgraduate studies.

Supervising the weekly lecture records prepared for this purpose to ensure coverage of all scheduled hours for each course according to applicable regulations.

Monitoring postgraduate students’ attendance and discipline in accordance with the established rules and regulations.

Reviewing postgraduate admission applications after submission by the academic department and standardizing them.

Reviewing cases of transferring postgraduate students from other universities to the college’s postgraduate programs and referring them to the relevant academic departments for consideration and correspondence with concerned authorities.

Monitoring postgraduate students regarding study duration and their dedication to studies according to regulations and instructions.

Participating in college postgraduate committees’ meetings when invited to discuss postgraduate matters within the departments’ scope, ensuring proper performance. Preparing the discussion statement for the postgraduate student one week prior to the defense, preparing and evaluating the committee minutes, and submitting them to the college council.

Supervising the preparation of annual and special statistics related to postgraduate studies in the college.

Distributing and collecting exam booklets according to the established rules.

Announcing exam results after approval by the postgraduate committees in the academic departments and within their scope of responsibility.

Providing academic departments with grades according to a prepared template for approval by the postgraduate committees.

Coordinating with academic departments regarding submission of exam questions for both the first and second rounds, in accordance with undergraduate procedures.

Corresponding with official authorities on all matters related to a postgraduate student’s academic record from registration to graduation.

Corresponding with the university presidency / postgraduate studies department on all matters concerning a postgraduate student’s academic record.

Corresponding with official authorities to obtain formal approvals regarding attendees after their names and departments have been determined by the relevant academic department.

Signing the annual allowance and promotion forms for postgraduate staff in his capacity as the highest-ranking official.

تأريخنا
تاسست جامعة تكريت سنة 1987 عند تأسيس السلطة التشريعية لكلية التربية للبنات، بالاضافة الى كلية الطب والهندسة، وتعد أول جامعة في الجزء الشمالي الغربي من العراق، وهذه الكليات الثلاث كانت كأنموذج لمؤسسات التعليم المستقبلية تحت نظام التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي المشرع سنة 1970. توسعت الجامعة وفتحت فيها كليات اخر بدءاً بكلية التربية المختلطة وانتهاءً بكلية التربية التي انشطرت الى شطرين وأصبحت كلية التربية للعلوم الانسانية والعلوم الصرفة سنة 2013، فأصبحت الجامعة تضم مجموعة من الكليات المختلفة.

تمتلك الجامعة 8 مراكز بحثية فضلا عن المكاتب الاستشارية ، كما وتحتوي على مختبرات مركزية مختلفة تلبي طموح طلبة الدراسات الاولية والعليا
